AKA – Company (Feat. KDDO)

 For the very last time, fans of AKA were thrilled to see a full-length album by the late South African rapper titled ‘Mass Country’. Off the project, is ‘Company’ which features guest appearance from Nigerian producer and singer, KDDO. Interestingly, this would be the second time both African artists converge on a song. The first was in 2018 with the smash hit, ‘Fela in Versace’.

Tyla – Been Thinking

Fast rising South African singer, songwriter, and socialite, Tyla released her latest track titled, ‘Been Thinking’. At best, the upbeat song is sonically influenced by western disco and electro pop music. The twenty one year old fashionista tapped from the production prowess of music producer, C.Tricky Stewart. The song was released under the licensing and flagship of Fax records/Epic records.

Pcee & Sgijja Disciples, Zan’Ten – Kilimanjaro (Feat. Justin 99, Mema Percent, and Mr JazziQ)

Characterized by an opening cacophony is Pcee’s ‘ Kilimanjaro’. Pcee is a South African Disk Jockey famed for hits such as ‘Johnny Ke Johnny’ and ‘Zotata’. In his latest effort, ‘Kilimanjaro’ the producer assembles a talented  team of fellow South African musicians to assist in adding flavor to the Amapiano song.

Nasty C – Blackout 

Nasty C, the popular rapper and songwriter, dropped his first release of the year called ‘Blackout.’ The two-minute long hip hop record was self-produced and licensed to Universal Music. The song features clever wordplay and a unique sound that blends different genres. It has received positive feedback from fans who praise Nasty C’s musical talent and growth. ‘Blackout’ is one of the best South African songs February 2023. It is a significant accomplishment for Nasty C as it will provide him with greater exposure and opportunities to expand his career.

Amatycooler & Dj Yamz – Intliziyo Yam (Feat. Big Nuz, Dj Tira)

Gqom enthusiasts, Amatycooler and Dj Yamza feature Big Nuz and Dj tira on the invigorating ‘Intliziyo Yam’. The single is already making a positive impression in the public as it has been resonating with the online community, especially on TikTok.
