He finished as joint-top scorer in the 2024/25 Champions League with 13 goals in 14 appearances, level with Barcelona’s Raphinha, and that tally remains the highest single-season Champions League total ever recorded by an African international.
He arrived at Dortmund in 2024 from Stuttgart, where he had scored 28 Bundesliga goals the previous season, and now enters a third campaign in the Ruhr. Senegal spread across ten clubs
The Senegalese contingent is the most widely distributed. Nicolas Jackson and Ibrahim Mbaye have both joined Aston Villa, while Iliman Ndiaye moved to Manchester City, giving Senegal three players at English clubs alone.

Côte d’Ivoire’s eight and the Real Madrid arrival
