As the various family members navigate their complex relationships and ambitions, they must come to terms with the will and the chaotic dynamics of their inheritance.

Similar to Chief Daddy, it involves characters navigating complex family situations, social expectations, and personal dilemmas, with a comedic backdrop. Starring Jim Iyke, alongside co-stars Sharon Ooja and Osas Ighodaro, Bad Comments is a gripping film that runs for 2 hours and 9 minutes, making it a worthy watch.           Isla, a gifted young woman who has the special ability to communicate with spirits, must use her powers to help the coma patient Amoke, whose soul is stuck between life and death. This comedy-drama focuses on quirky, outlandish situations involving family and relationships. It features a strong, humorous female lead, Toyin Abraham and highlights the blending of family values with absurd scenarios, similar to how Chief Daddy portrays unexpected family drama.

            Your Excellency blends political satire with family humour, much like how Chief Daddy mixes wealth, inheritance, and family drama with comedic situations. Both films highlight the absurdities of ambition and how family members react when they’re caught up in something bigger than themselves. Chief Olalekan Ajadi, a bumbling, billionaire businessman and failed presidential candidate, is obsessed with Donald Trump. Just when his campaign looks set to be another disaster, Ajadi is anointed by a major party and becomes a credible contender, all through the power of social media. Bad Comments also features a talented cast, including Funke Akindele and Falz, who both were stars in Chief Daddy. Notably, this movie marked Funke Akindele’s directorial debut.

            6. Breaded Life (2021)

                 While Breaded Life is more romantic, it shares Chief Daddy’s focus on family expectations, social status, and personal struggles. In Breaded Life, After everyone in his life mysteriously forgets him, a young man is forced to seek help from the local bread seller after he realises that he’s the only one who can remember him. Like Chief Daddy, it involves characters trying to balance love, personal desires, and family pressures, with humour sprinkled throughout.

While this may not share the same theme or comedic value as Chief Daddy, it  still embraces the Nigerian culture and explores romantic entanglements, family expectations, and personal dilemmas.
