Burna Boy – Sittin On Top Of The World
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has been one of the ambassadorial figures for Afrobeats in recent years. While he thrives on Afro-fusions, he also embraces full Westernized sounds. His recent work ‘Sittin On Top Of The World’ is vintage American hip-hop/r&b. The record is Burna’s first effort for the year 2023 and it was produced by French record producer Skread.
Nkosazana Daughter, Master Kg, Lowsheen, Murumba Pitch – Amaputha
South African singer and songwriter Nkosazana Daughter drops a fresh single titled ‘Amaputha’. The single features super South African record producers, Master Kg, Lowsheen, and Murumba Pitch. The song was produced by both Master Kg and Lowsheen, with live instrumentation credits tilting towards Murumba pitch.
Camidoh – L.I.T.A (Album)
Talented Ghanaian singer and songwriter Camidoh is on a roll this year. Barely months since he dropped his six-track E.P. ‘A Lifetime Is Not Enough’ now the singer resurfaces with a full-length album titled ‘L.I.T.A’. The debut featured guest appearances such as Eugy, Manifest, Stonebwoy, Amaarae, and others.
Zuchu, Innoss B – Nani (Remix)
Tanzanian singer Zuchu steps back into the studio for the remix version of her local smash hit, ‘Nani’. The fast-paced Bongo flava record features gifted Tanzanian artist Innoss B. The remix was produced by S2kizzy.
Victoria Kimani – How I Do
Kenyan singer-songwriter, Victoria Kimani has been away from the music scene for a minute. The sultry singer, however, makes a comeback to the delight of her fans with her recent single titled ‘How I Do’. The song is a brilliant fusion of Afro rhythms, rhythm, and blues chord progression with Amapiano log drums. ‘How I Do’ was produced by Nigerian producer, Kayomusiq.
JULY – Bank On It
Nigerian rising singer, Ebubechukwu Tochukwu Charles who is best known as JULY drops a new afro-fusion tune titled ‘Bank On It.’ Produced by Brizy, ‘Bank On It’ is JULY’s second single to his soon-to-be-released project.
Afroto – Askot Khales
Talented Egyptian rapper, Afroto releases a brand-new hip-hop record titled, ‘Askot Khales’. The hip-hop artist flows vigorously on the two-minute-long record.
Ckay – Nwayi
Afro-pop artist, Ckay comes through with a soft-emo record titled, ‘Nwayi’. The record was produced by BMH and Ckay himself with licensing and publishing rights to Warner Music Africa.
Prince Kaybee, Azana – Inkumbolo
Popular South African disk jockey, Kaybee releases a new single titled ‘Inkumbolo’. The Disk Jockey features talented singer Azana on the record.
Barnaba, Otile Brown – Rockabye (Remix)
Talented Tanzanian singer, Barnaba or Barnaba classi recruits Kenyan singer and songwriter Otile Brown on the remix of his smash hit single, ‘Rockabye’.
