Afro Nation, the world’s largest Afrobeats music festival, is breaking new ground by announcing that it will make its first trip to North America this year, landing in Miami, Florida. Fans of African music will have the opportunity to see performances by headliners Burna Boy and Wizkid, among others, on May 27 and 28.
Afro Nation has dominated festival stages throughout the world, including in Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and beyond.
Now, American audiences can behold the amazing display of African unity and joy. The event, which is renowned for fusing several musical styles together effortlessly, promises a weekend packed with Afrobeats, dancehall, amapiano, and hip-hop to keep you moving.
Your attention should be piqued by the lineup, which features dancehall icon Beenie Man, Ghanaian sensation Black Sherif, and Nigerian crooners Rema, Ckay, and BNXN. South Africa and their bundle of joy amapiano will be faithfully represented by Major League DJz and female powerhouse DJ Uncle Waffles. It’s also asserted that this is not everything.
Nigerian superstar Asake returns to the Afro Nation stage after abruptly leaving the stage during the Afro Nation Ghana performance in December when concertgoers became unruly and security shut everything down.
After a three-year hiatus, the event returns to Miami and is expected to be a smashing success.
The first American celebration will take place at Miami’s LoanDepot Park. Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 13th at 1 p.m. EST at USA.AfroNation.com. Register HERE for an exclusive Afro-Nation presale!
