Godson Ominibie Epelle, known professionally as 1da Banton, is a Nigerian dancehall, reggae, and Afrobeat artist born on July 24, 1994, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with an estimated net worth of $150,000–$500,000. Growing up in a vibrant, music-rich environment, he was influenced by legends like Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, and 2Baba.
In 2014, 1da Banton relocated to Lagos, Nigeria’s entertainment hub, after signing with Squareball Entertainment, a label owned by renowned video director Adasa Cookey. His breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of his debut EP, The Banton EP, which showcased his versatility in blending dancehall, reggae, and Afrobeat.
