The 2024 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards lit up Marrakesh, Morocco, as the continent’s brightest football stars were celebrated for their outstanding performances. The glamorous ceremony, held on Monday night, highlighted the exceptional talent and achievements across African football over the past year.

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman stole the headlines by clinching the coveted CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award, succeeding his compatriot, Victor Osimhen. Lookman’s electrifying form for both club and country throughout the year earned him the prestigious honour.

In the women’s category, Zambia’s Barbra Banda claimed the CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award, a testament to her incredible consistency and impact on the pitch.
