This week, we are thrilled to present to you an exciting selection of the latest and best music releases from Africa. 

Our carefully curated list showcases the rich and diverse musical talents of both established and emerging acts, who hail from various countries across the continent and beyond. 

From the infectious beats of Afrobeats to the soulful melodies of Amapiano and the rhythmic grooves of Bongo Flava to the captivating sounds of Afro-pop, our new collection has something for everyone to enjoy.

Nonso Amadi – When It Blooms  (Album)

Nigerian R&B singer, Nonso Amadi incites the earbuds of his loyal fans with a new album. The latest release is titled, ‘When It Blooms’. With fifteen songs on the album, Nonso explores several music genres from Rhythm and blues, to hip-hop. The album is packed with interesting guest features with the likes of Zinoleesky, Beam, Tay-Iwar, Tamera, and Majid Jordan gracing the body of work.

Nomfundo Moh – Ugcobo (Album)

Mzansi’s very own, Nomfundo Moh releases a beautifully compiled body of work titled, ‘Ugcobo’. The fourteen-track album features the likes of Big Zulu, Simmy, Afrotraction, Bongane Sax, Naxion Cross, and others.

Juls, Ami Faku – Terrified 

West Africa and South Africa collide on this beautiful collection of sounds titled, ‘Terrified’. Seasoned Ghanaian music producer, Juls joins hands with South Africa’s Ami Faku. 

Asake, Olamide – Amapiano

After the success of ‘2:30,’ Asake drops his third single of the year titled ‘Amapiano’. The single features YBNL Mafia boss, Olamide. The song was produced by the usual suspect, Magic Sticks.

Carmen Soliman – Enta El Aseel 

 Carmen Soliman drops a beautiful score titled ‘Enta El Aseel’. The Egyptian songstress is experimental on this record fusing Middle Eastern melodies with raw electronic syncopations. 

Nviiri The Storyteller –  Inside Out

Talented Kenyan singer-songwriter, Nviiri The Storyteller searches within and outward in his latest Afrobeats-themed ballad titled ‘Inside Out’. The record was produced by G.L.

Joshua Baraka, King Promise, Bien, Joeboy –  Nana ( Remix)

Ugandan breakout artist, Joshua Baraka delivers a scintillating remix to his hit record, ‘Nana’. The remix features the experienced voices of Joeboy (Nigeria), King Promise (Ghana), and Bien (Kenya). Nana is a feel-good record characterized by catchy bounces and melodies.

Adekunle Gold – Tio Tequila ( E.P)

Adekunle Gold drops a three-track Extended play titled, ‘Tio Tequila’. The body of work is loosely based on his newfound love for distilled liquor. Tio Tequila also features the hit track ‘Party No Dey Stop’.

Berita – Body

Talented Zimbabwean singer, Berita releases an upbeat new single titled ‘Body’. The record is groovy and sensual at the same time with a tropical rhythmic feel to match. A guaranteed beautiful listen. The song was produced by the duo of Zillin and Kwaku. 

ChopLife SoundSystem – Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles  (EP)

Choplife Soundsystem released their debut album titled, ‘Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles’. The band which was recently formed mainly comprises Nigerian superstar musician, Mr Eazi and British- Kenyan disk jockey, DJ Edu. This body of work is a fourteen-track project that features various artists from South Africa. The album is the first of many to come.
