Libianca Taps Ayra Starr And Omah Lay For ‘People’ Remix

Libianca’s breakout global hit ‘People’ has been remixed with the help of Ayra Starr and Omah Lay, two popular Afropop stars.

The emotive video that accompanies the track has been viewed by over 19 million people worldwide. Since its release in late 2022, ‘People’ has maintained the #1 spot in the OCC UK Official Afrobeats Charts for five weeks, and it currently sits at #13 on the OCC UK Official Charts.

The track has amassed over 110 million streams, 19 million views, and over 1.1 million TikTok creations, and continues to gain momentum in markets around the world. Recently, Libianca was recognized as the Turntable Official Charts Artists to Watch for 2023 at #3. The dreamy remix seamlessly blends the vocals of the three Afropop stars to create a beautiful Afrobeat ballad. Last week, Libianca delivered a mesmerizing performance of her global hit on BBC Three’s Tonight with Target and debuted her first BBC 1Xtra Live Lounge.

The song explores Libianca’s personal struggles with anxiety and depression and how she navigates them through her vices. Growing up between Cameroon and Minnesota, Libianca’s unique blend of Afro-Pop is influenced by the sounds of her childhood. Check out the “People” remix here.
