Wizkid And Brent Faiyaz Team Up On Sensual ‘Piece Of My Heart’ Video

After a lengthy wait, Nigerian singer Wizkid has begun the release of his highly awaited album Morayo. The Grammy-winning performer has just released a lovely new tune titled Piece of My Heart, which features American R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz. This sweet, soulful music is one of the lead tracks from Wizkid’s next CD, and it sets a sensuous tone for what comes next.

Co-produced by P2J and Dpat, Piece of My Heart is a heartfelt ode to love, with Wizkid and Brent Faiyaz’s voices blending seamlessly over the atmospheric beats. The song’s lyrics, “Nothing can tear us apart, you got a piece of my heart,” speak to unbreakable devotion, and the undeniable chemistry between the two artists elevates the track, offering fans a seamless fusion of their distinct styles.

The accompanying music video, directed by Lonewolf for JM Films Production, is visually stunning. Set against a historic backdrop, it shows gorgeous black models dressed in traditional African braids and beaded jewellery, with antique cars rounding out the sophisticated, retro style. The latter half of the video features a posh airport scene with a private jet in the backdrop, where Wizkid and Faiyaz pour their hearts out to a lover, emphasising the track’s sensual and intimate tone.

Billboard has verified that Morayo will be released on November 22, 2024. Piece of My Heart is a dramatic start to the album, with smooth musical transitions that keep listeners engaged while hinting at the wide range of sounds to come in Wizkid’s next chapter.
