Virgin Music Nigeria Partners With Rain Labs Ghana To Elevate African Talent

Virgin Music Nigeria has announced a strategic partnership with Rain Labs, a Ghana-based boutique distribution and label services company, to provide enhanced support for African artists. The collaboration aims to bolster the region’s music ecosystem by offering digital distribution, marketing, creative production, and brand partnerships, ensuring African talent reaches a global audience.

Founded in 2020 in Accra, Rain Labs has been instrumental in elevating independent and emerging artists across Africa. With offices in Accra and London, the company specialises in digital distribution, PR, streaming strategy, and creative production. Its roster includes notable names such as Joey B, Cina Soul, Baaba J, MAUIMØON, Kofee Bean, Ess the Legend, and AD DJ, all of whom stand to benefit from Virgin Music’s extensive global network.

Virgin Music Group, an independent distribution powerhouse, has long been committed to empowering artists worldwide. Since launching its Nigerian arm in 2023, the company has expanded its influence in Africa, providing artists with global distribution, marketing expertise, and development opportunities. The partnership with Rain Labs further cements its commitment to African music, enabling access to over 128 digital streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, YouTube Music, and Audiomack.
