Tekno Shakes Up The Summer With New Releases ‘Gon Gon’ And ‘No Forget’

After sending shockwaves through the global music industry barely two months ago with his groundbreaking partnership and joint venture with Mr Eazi’s innovative independent label, emPawa Africa, and kickstarting an exciting new musical era with Wayo—which has already garnered over 15 million plays online—Afrobeats icon and global music sensation Tekno is ready to electrify the summer with more thrilling new music. Arriving today via Cartel Music and emPawa Africa, the award-winning Nigerian musician and producer unveils his latest tracks, Gon Gon and No Forget.

Gon Gon, produced by the talented Egar Boi (known for his work with Yemi Alade, Zlatan, Erigga, and Babyboy AV), is an amapiano-infused banger where Tekno asks a special girl to be his one and only. The infectious beat and catchy lyrics are set to dominate dance floors, with fans already buzzing about its potential to become the anthem of the summer.

No Forget, written by Jacob Hunter and produced by the acclaimed Louddaaa (Ayra Starr, Simi, Crayon, and Lojay), is a heartfelt R&B ballad showcasing Tekno’s emotional depth. With soulful lyrics promising undying love, this track adds a new layer to Tekno’s musical repertoire, offering listeners a poignant and heartfelt performance.

These releases follow the success of Tekno’s hit single Wayo, released in May, marking a new chapter in his career under his new partnership with emPawa Africa. This collaboration is set to deliver more diverse and innovative music to Tekno’s audience, highlighting his exceptional writing and singing abilities.
