The Nigerian passport grants visa-free access to numerous countries in 2023 across Oceania, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa. However, it is important to note that the Nigerian passport is considered one of the weakest in the world, according to the first quarter ranking of the Henley Passport Index.
Nigerian passport holders can visit a total of 46 countries worldwide without a visa or through visa-on-arrival arrangements. Among these countries, 26 allow visa-free entry, while the remaining 20 provide visa-on-arrival facilities.
These is the updated list of Nigerian passport visa free countries 2023. The Henley Passport Index relies on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to assess passport strength and global travel access. While the Nigerian passport offers limited visa-free options, these countries across various regions provide Nigerian passport holders with facilitated entry opportunities.
