The NBA is going global for their upcoming halftime performance at the 2023 All-Star Game. The league has chosen Burna Boy, Tems, and Rema to lead this year’s Afrobeats-themed performance on Sunday, February 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Post Malone, along with the three Afrobeats superstars, will open the event with a mix of songs. Jewel will sing the National Anthem, and Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel will introduce the newly selected NBA All-Stars. The league will also honor LeBron James for breaking the scoring record two weeks ago. Last year, the NBA invited DJ Khaled to perform at the halftime show, and he invited Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and others.
Before the festivities on Sunday, the NBA will host a number of events, including this Friday’s (Feb. 17) Ruffles Celebrity Game. This year’s concert will include performances by Janelle Monae, 21 Savage, Cordae, Ozuna, Kane Brown, Nicky Jam, and other artists.
For those interested in watching, the Celebrity Game with Burna Boy, Tems and Rema will air exclusively on ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The All-Star Game will air on TNT at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, and it will also be available on the ESPN App.
