Afro Nation Is Coming To Lagos, Nigeria

Afro Nation Lagos is coming! Afrobeats Festival (Afro Nation) organisers claim plans are in the works to organise the event’s first edition in Nigeria this year.

The world’s largest Afrobeats event, which will have editions in Portugal and the United States later this year, will extend to Lagos later this year.

Co-founder of Afro Nation, Adesegun Adeosun, popularly known as SMADE, said the aim of the festival was to unite the diaspora in the home of afrobeats.

He said, “Nigeria is the home to so many international superstars who have made Afrobeats a globally loved genre.

“As someone who grew up in Lagos, and then spent years promoting African music in London and beyond, this will truly be a full circle moment, bringing the Afro Nation show back home to Lagos.

“We can’t wait for the biggest celebration of African music the world has ever seen,” he said.

According to him, the festival will be coming up in Portugal in June, before returning to America for a two-day show in Detroit between Aug. 19 and Aug. 20.

He said for more details, fans should sign up for news and have the first opportunity to get tickets to Afro Nation Nigeria.
